Monogram This and More came about 18 years ago when I bought a plain jumper for my then 1 year old daughter. It needed to be jazzed up. I recently had upgraded to a small home sewing/embroidery machine and embroidered flowers on the dress. From there on, embroidery became a new passion!
Fabric and sewing has always been an interest. When I was young girl, I remember my mom getting small samples of fabric swatches from a mail order company. I would sit and hand sew them together to make a variety of things – a dress for my doll, a cover for a barbie bed or even a scarf for my dog. My love of fabrics and creativity expanded and I received my Undergraduate degree in Home Economics Education. After a few years of teaching, I realized my second love of information gathering and continuous learning and decided to pursue a Masters in Library and Information Science. After several years in the professional world, my family was started and hence the jumper mentioned above came into play.
Fast forward to about 10 years ago when my family moved to Tennessee. It was then when Monogram This and More was taken to the next level. I continue to learn apparel decorating methods, new techniques and how I can adapt my creativity to this ever growing and changing field.
In addition to embroidery Monogram This and More also offers monogramming (in thread, sign vinyl/decal and heat transfer vinyl), applique, custom embroidery of company logos, sublimation and digital heat transfer printing. Monogram This and More is a locally owned small business and has been decorating apparel and personalizing items for over 15 years. Monogram This and More uses all industrial and commercial equipment, products and supplies and our work is done in-house.
